Max Anker - Connecticut Sailor and Boating Entrepreneur
Max Anker is a Connecticut entrepreneur who recently launched EasyBoat, an innovative platform that gives Long Island Sound boaters access to carefully vetted marine service providers. He is responsible for the company’s finances and fundraising, and is developing a promotional strategy that combines marketing and advertising with a presence at regional boat shows. An accomplished marine engineer, Max Anker built his first foiling motorboat at age 18 and has aspirations of establishing a company that drives innovation in the yachting arena.
Mr. Anker’s interests include virtually anything involving life on the water, such as fishing, sailing, kiteboarding, surfing, and wakeboarding/waterskiing. As a Greenwich High School student, he captained the varsity sailing team, winning awards such as MVP and most versatile sailor. Mr. Anker continued to excel in sailing while earning his BBA at the College of Charleston. He also served as head race coach and opti-racing instructor at the Larchmont Yacht Club.
In 2022, Max Anker completed a design modeling internship with Moore Brothers Company. He shadowed professionals at the Bristol, Rhode Island, composites company and gained experience in advanced fiberglass and carbon-fiber work and design. He subsequently undertook an internship with Boating Magazine, with a focus on researching the development of electric motorboats.
